The story
Treuschs Schwanen is a Mediterranean restaurant at Rathausplatz 2 in Reichelsheim im Odenwald, Germany. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2,5 Kochlöffel in 2026. The house is first recorded in 1450 under the name "Druschegut" in the Reichelsheim land registers.
The Treusch family has run the house since 1984, and since 2023 Jennifer and Thomas Treusch have led it into the next generation. The kitchen combines the Schwanen with the sister restaurant Johanns-Stube. Its menu describes honest, modern country cooking, built on seasonal produce and products from the Odenwald.
The cozy dining room serves regional dishes, and a quiet garden terrace extends the seating outdoors. The house pours its own Treuschs Apfelweine, made from apples gathered from a meadow orchard. A cooking school runs alongside the restaurant, and the listing notes a set lunch menu and vegetarian dishes.
