The story
MINNECI is an Italian fine dining restaurant at Zirkelschmiedsgasse 28 in Nuremberg, Germany, and it holds a 2026 recommendation from the Michelin Guide. The restaurant has operated since 2003 in a 16th-century Renaissance building in the city's old town.
The kitchen works with Italian classics and updates them each month. Influences from the Mediterranean and Dalmatia come from the patron's homeland in southern Croatia. Pasta, fish and meat are prepared à la minute with fresh, seasonal and regional produce. Der Feinschmecker describes the cooking as sometimes refined, sometimes modernized, and always precisely executed.
The ricotta tortelli with duck liver mousse is a standout, served with caramelized figs in cassis butter and a sharp balsamic foam. The venison loin comes in a traditional style with chestnut cream. The carbonara is reworked as pecorino ravioli with a fried quail egg, crispy pork cheek and pepper foam. The menu changes monthly, so the dishes on your visit may differ.
The dining room combines natural stone, wooden beams and a vaulted cellar. In summer, the outdoor garden with palms, roses and lemon trees is open. The wine list holds around 440 labels from Italy's leading winemakers, alongside a selection of Croatian wines.
