The story
Sülbecker Krug at Mindener Straße 6 in Nienstädt runs an international kitchen built around steaks, and Michelin listed it as Recommended in 2026. The hotel restaurant sits directly on the B65 between Stadthagen and Bückeburg.
Lutz Reppegather is the head chef, and the team develops new menus regularly. Guests can choose meat, fish or vegetarian dishes. The Schlemmer Atlas describes a four-course surprise menu with fish or meat, steaks from an 800-degree oven, or a à la carte order. A wine bar serves good wines alongside the menu.
The Krug was first mentioned in records in 1635, when it served as a coaching inn on the old Hellweg road. After a bombing raid in 1945 destroyed the half-timbered building, it was rebuilt on the old hall's foundations, and the restaurant floor is made from the original timber. Astrid Nordmeyer now runs the business as owner, continuing a family line that has held the house for three generations.
