The story
BOK Restaurant, at Melchersstr. 32 in Münster, is a European kitchen that earned one Michelin star in 2026. Head chef Johannes Kemper cooks a seasonal menu in the Kreuzviertel, and sommelière Celia Brietzke leads the wine service.
Johannes Kemper became head chef and co-owner in July 2026. Before that he was sous chef at the two-star Jante in Hannover. The menu follows the rhythm of the seasons and works closely with local producers. Der Feinschmecker praised a wagyu carpaccio arranged in a ring with chanterelles and flamed cherries, and a gently tempered char under airy yeast hollandaise.
The dining room is a subtly elegant space one level below street level, with a small terrace. Celia Brietzke's wine list covers 190 positions, about 90 percent from biodynamic producers, with a focus on Germany, Austria and France. Non-alcoholic pairings are composed for the menu. A wine counter serves champagne, a glass of wine or an espresso for guests who want a lighter visit.
