The story
Gasthof Herrmann in Münsingen serves Swabian cooking at Ernst-Bezler-Str. 1, 72525, in the Swabian Alb biosphere area. The Schlemmer Atlas 2026 awarded the half-timbered inn by the market fountain 2 Kochlöffel, noting its restored building and Swabian traditional dishes.
The menu follows Swabian traditional dishes, and the guide also highlights dessert specialties made in the inn's own patisserie. The kitchen offers organic, regional, vegetarian and vegan options, and a set lunch menu is available. Guests who visit in late December can book the Advent menu, served on each Advent Sunday as a creative three or four course meal with matching wines, from 35 euros.
The building sits in the middle of the Swabian Alb, and the inn has been restored and expanded with a modern extension. The hotel holds a GreenSign certification, with its highest score in regionality and mobility. Groups can also book the rooms for seminars and private celebrations.
