The story
Ristorante Cleo at Genovevaweg 31 in Munich's Laim district serves Sicilian-Italian cooking on the corner of Willibaldstrasse, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2,5 Kochlöffel in 2026.
Giovanni and Gioacchino, two friends who ran the kitchen of the former Ristorante Cleopatra on Landsberger Strasse for more than 25 years, now cook here together. Everything is prepared in-house. The menu draws on Sicilian produce such as lemons, oranges, tomatoes, olive oil and truffles, and a truffle menu changes with the season. Pasta is a particular focus, with hand-made tortelli, linguine and orecchiette. Swordfish, tuna and anchovies appear often, and lamb, veal and wild rabbit sit among the Italian classics.
In summer, tables are set in a front garden shaded by a large awning. Indoors, light, muted tones and understated elegance suit business lunches, dinners for two and evenings with friends. The Gambero Rosso guide gave the restaurant two forks in 2025.
