The story
Fitzroy in Munich is a modern Australian kitchen and bar at Atelierstr. 22, 81671 München, and it holds three Kochlöffel in the 2026 Schlemmer Atlas. The restaurant calls its cooking ModOz, short for Modern Australian Cuisine, and pairs it with a bar and rooftop under one roof.
Executive Chef Nedjad Karamujic leads the kitchen. The menu blends flavours from Asia and the Mediterranean with a touch of Outback, built on fresh ingredients and regional produce. Dishes follow the seasons and are meant to feel light.
Dinner runs every day, and lunch is served on weekdays. Coffee and cake are available through the afternoon. Sunday brunch takes place on the second Sunday of each month, with ModOz-style creations and seasonal highlights. Lunch pauses for the summer break in August, and the restaurant recommends booking brunch early because seats go quickly.
Meron Engelberg and the bar team create signature drinks exclusive to Fitzroy, from classics with a twist to alcohol-free highballs. The Schlemmer Atlas also awards two Kochlöffel (2026) to the evening experience, which runs from casual dining to late cocktails at the 360-degree bar near Ostbahnhof. The rooftop hosts live concerts and DJ nights, and when the weather allows, it runs first come, first served.
