The story
IL Sommelier in Munich serves an Italian kitchen at Kreillerstraße 194 in the Trudering district, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2 Kochlöffel in 2026. Italian wine is central here, and most of the menu is designed to be paired with it.
The kitchen works with fresh pasta, grilled meat and fish. Recent dishes on the menu include plin di raviolo with oxtail ragù, spaghettone allo scoglio with moscardini, and culurgiones, the Sardinian ravioli, in vegetable broth. The Menu del Mese changes monthly and comes as four or six courses. On Tuesdays, a classic wine pairing accompanies the set menu.
Fassona beef from Piedmont is a house specialty. The restaurant describes it as having a quarter of the fat of other breeds. For two, the Bistecca Fiorentina di Chianina is a kilo of T-bone from Chianina cattle, served with vegetables. Fish is prepared either in a salt crust or on a lava stone grill.
The dining room combines modern design with classic elegance, and the Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. Desserts include tiramisù classico and a yuzu sorbet, a light finish after the heavier mains.
