The story
Der Dantler at Werinherstraße 15 in Munich is a modern cuisine address with a Michelin Guide recommendation for 2026. Lunch and dinner follow quite different formats.
At midday there is a three-course menu, plus à la carte choices such as a pastrami sandwich, homemade pasta, ramen or the daily fish. Evenings are reserved for five- or six-course tasting menus, offered in vegetarian and pescatarian versions. The international kitchen draws on Asian and Mediterranean flavors.
Summer plates include the "salade de la bavière urbaine", marinated tomatoes in a spiced basil broth with olive croquant, and zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta. Pan-seared trout with almond butter and two kohlrabi preparations stays on the menu all year. Desserts lean toward ice cream and frozen sweets.
The list runs to about 100 wines, mostly white, from Germany, Austria and South Tyrol, with a classic rather than experimental bent. The room is lively and bistronomic, and guests are on first-name terms quickly. Der Feinschmecker rated it 2.5 in 2026. Next door, the Weinstube serves cocktails and wine before or after a meal.
