The story
Blauer Bock at Sebastiansplatz 9 in Munich serves Bavarian cooking a short walk from the Viktualienmarkt. The Michelin Guide lists it as a recommended restaurant for 2026.
Fine French cuisine used to reign here. Today the menu follows classic Bavarian "Munich city kitchen", from sausages to Wiener schnitzel, and the Schlemmer Atlas gave it 3 Kochlöffel in 2026. The restaurant has stood by the market for almost 20 years. Chef Ricardo Quiroz and Florian Wimmer shape a style the house calls straightforward and clear, never too puritanical, with dishes prepared with evident pleasure.
The wine list keeps the same balance and comes almost entirely from European growing regions, chosen with care. Outdoor seating, vegan options and wheelchair access are also listed.
