The story
Gesellschaftshaus der BASF stands at Wöhlerstr. 15 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, where the World Cuisine kitchen works in a former factory restaurant that Schlemmer Atlas awarded 2 Kochlöffel in 2026. The building dates to around 1900 and sits just outside the BASF gates.
The kitchen offers set menus, monthly menus and buffets, with the monthly menus and buffets available by pre-order. Sommeliers draw wine pairings from the BASF cellar, which holds more than one million bottles. The wine list earned the German Wine List Award and is listed on the Star Wine List.
The GenussMittag lunch runs Monday to Friday between 12:00 and 14:00. It opens with a fresh salad buffet with varied toppings and a daily soup. Light mains come as fish, meat, or vegetarian and vegan dishes, followed by a choice of desserts.
