The story
Villa Feer, at Beim Haagensteg 1 in Lörrach, is a French and seasonal kitchen that earned a Michelin Recommended listing in 2026. The restaurant occupies a villa built in 1900 and has been run by the Bucher family since 2012.
Kathrin Bucher works as owner, host and cook, and the kitchen builds its dishes around fresh, natural ingredients from the Markgräflerland. Presentation matters as much as sourcing. A small card rotates through dishes the kitchen has served over the past ten years, alongside a weekly lunch menu.
Brunch runs on set dates at €40.50 per person, with drinks charged separately. The spread opens with wood-oven bread and croissants, then shot glasses of ham, salami and smoked salmon. Hot dishes include braised beef shoulder on parmesan polenta, pumpkin arancini with sage cream, and beer-battered halibut with potato salad and remoulade.
Adolf Feer built the house in 1900 as his private home. The Schlemmer Atlas describes the bright Art Nouveau restaurant as offering brunch and lunch menus, rating it 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026. The kitchen also prepares a special menu for dogs, and guests can sit outdoors in warmer months.
