The story
Münsters is a restaurant at Platnerstraße 13 in Leipzig, where the kitchen draws on French, Mediterranean and German cooking. The Michelin Guide lists it as Recommended for 2026, and it is one of the places in Leipzig where the menu changes with the season.
Instagram posts from the kitchen show dishes such as French guinea fowl with porcini and carrot, turbot with orange and fennel salad, and bouillabaisse with mussels and sea bass. The Schlemmer Atlas awards two Kochlöffel and describes creative cooking on a small menu. The kitchen does not cook vegan, but vegetarian dishes are always available.
The dining room has bare tables, timber floors and partly exposed brick walls, with wine-themed decoration. The inner-courtyard beer garden opens from Easter to October, serving hearty Brotzeit. The first-floor bar, with its own entrance, suits private gatherings and whisky evenings.
