The story
Poisson is a seafood restaurant at Wolfsstraße 6 in Cologne, open since 2007. In 2026 the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 3 Kochlöffel and singled out the kitchen for its fish dishes.
The Schlemmer Atlas names sea bass, turbot, cod, tuna and sole as the fish the kitchen is known for. On the menu, a turbot tranche (€65) comes with duck liver, red wine shallots and creamed kohlrabi. Halibut fillet (€45) is served with Brussels sprout leaves, salsify and Périgord truffle. Sole, 500 to 600 g, is sold at the day's price.
The fish soup with saffron rouille and crostini (€21) is a fixture among the starters, and seawater gambas arrive "Cala style" with aioli. At the counter, Gillardeau No. 4 oysters cost €7 each, and 50 g of Osietra caviar is served on potato rösti. For two people, the seafood platter holds two and a half lobsters, twelve rosé prawns and six oysters (€198, pre-order only).
The restaurant calls its cooking "kreative leichte Feinschmeckerküche", light and creative fine cooking, and pairs it with a curated wine list. As the chef puts it, an excellent fish is nothing without the right wine. The Michelin Guide lists Poisson as recommended for 2026. A lunch menu changes weekly, and vegetarian dishes are cooked on request.
