The story
HENNE.Weinbar on Pfeilstraße 31 in Cologne is a Mediterranean and fusion kitchen built around small plates, and it earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality cooking at fair prices.
Der Feinschmecker describes a concept of "every dish, anytime," with no fixed menu and small plates close to tapas bars. The kitchen also serves lunch. Pulpo taco comes with avocado salsa, red cabbage and chorizo, while the Korean-style beef tartare is finished with gochujang and an egg yolk. Veal liver arrives warm with rösti and a fried egg, and the cheese is sourced from Maître Affineur Waltmann.
Hendrik, known as Henne, trained at the Traube Tonbach in Baiersbronn and at the Hotel im Wasserturm under Hans Horberth. He then led product development for the VAPIANO franchise before taking over his own stove. His stated aim is a cooking style that suits both experienced gourmets and easygoing guests of every age.
Nearly two dozen wines are poured by the glass. The list spans the global wine map, from well-known labels to producers who work outside convention. The room is lively and relaxed, and outdoor seating is part of the setup.
