The story
Schloss Loersfeld, at Schloss Loersfeld 1 in Kerpen, serves classic French cuisine in a centuries-old estate and holds 3 Kochlöffel from the Schlemmer Atlas for 2026. The Michelin Guide lists it as Recommended in the same year.
Chef Giorgo Mimisa and his team cook what the house calls a modern, French-inspired cuisine. Pastry chef Fatih Coglan has been a cook and pastry chef for almost 15 years. His earlier stations include La Becasse in Aachen and Zur Tant in Cologne.
Thomas Bellefontaine grew up on the estate and has run it as tenant since 1990. The building sits in a 10-hectare English landscape park. Besides the restaurant, the house hosts weddings, corporate gatherings and themed evenings such as a murder-mystery dinner.
On Wednday and Thursday evenings, the kitchen offers a daily-changing four-course Loersfeld menu at 78 euros. It is the most direct way to taste the French-leaning cooking without committing to a longer evening.
