The story
Weedenhof is a Mediterranean restaurant at Mainzer Straße 6 in Jugenheim in Rheinhessen, Germany, and it earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking. The restaurant sits in the old wine village of Jugenheim, among vineyards and fruit meadows, and it shares its building with a hotel.
Michael Knöll leads the kitchen with his team. The menu is grounded in the region and shaped by Mediterranean influences. Most ingredients come from Rheinhessen, arrive market-fresh, and are prepared in a contemporary way.
Starters include grilled octopus with chorizo, olives, tomato pesto and lemon cream, and a wild garlic cream soup with croutons. Mains move from lamb with a herb crust and a stuffed rabbit leg to veal entrecôte with shiitake and a rump steak under an onion and mustard crust. Dessert might be apricot dumplings with sabayon and vanilla ice cream, or mascarpone mousse with raspberry coulis.
The dining room follows a country-house style, with plenty of wood, natural stone and timber-framed walls. Small seating corners keep the room intimate, and it seats up to 55 guests. In summer, the garden terrace is open for lighter dishes. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026, describing classic menus served in this setting.
