The story
Fetter Förster is a seasonal regional kitchen in Iserlohn, located at Seilerwaldstr. 10 inside the Hotel VierJahreszeiten by the Seilersee. The Schlemmer Atlas 2026 awarded it 2 Kochlöffel for refined, rich cooking.
The kitchen is open, so guests can watch the cooking from the dining room. Dishes are built around regional and seasonal produce. The house also runs seasonal four-course menus with changing creations from the chef. Vegetarian dishes appear regularly on the menu, and vegan requests are accommodated where possible if mentioned at booking.
The dining room is styled like a living room, with views over the trees and the Seilersee area. The Schlemmer Atlas describes the Forester as the place for refined, rich cuisine. Its sister restaurant, the Wilde Ente, sits in the same hotel and offers a more relaxed setting. The room suits a quiet dinner for two, a business meal, or a small group.
Weekday lunch is served as a buffet, and the à la carte menu takes over in the evening. Themed weeks include game dishes and vegan evenings. Holiday lunch buffets follow the season, and private celebrations such as weddings and family gatherings can be arranged around the guests' wishes.
