The story
Liman Seafood Bar & Restaurant at Mühlenkamp 16 in Hamburg runs a seafood kitchen in the Winterhude district, and Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2 Kochlöffel in 2026. The restaurant has been open since 2011, and its light-wood room and grilled fish have kept it a local fixture.
The kitchen works only with fresh fish. Dishes are grilled to order, served without batter or flour, so the outside turns crisp while the flesh stays tender. A house marinade, made to a secret recipe, carries the seasoning, and roast potatoes and salad come alongside.
Garlic cream prawns, Calamaretti Patagonia and a tuna super sashimi are among the house favourites. Salmon, halibut and loup de mer also appear regularly. The monthly recommendation card changes the selection, and the seafood tower for two, served across four courses, is the dish the Schlemmer Atlas singled out.
Winterhude is not an obvious maritime setting, but the interior uses pale wood and clean lines that suggest a seaside bar. The space is called the "Hafen", and the bar pours wine, beer and other drinks. Weekday lunch runs from 12 to 15 with a fixed-price option, and Falstaff gave the restaurant 86 points in its 2025 guide.
