The story
Rodesand, the modern French restaurant at Rothensande 1 in Bad Malente-Gremsmühlen, Eutin, Germany, earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026. The kitchen works mainly with fish and sits inside the historic Herrenhaus of Gut Immenhof, on the shore of Lake Kellersee.
Patrick Kühn, the estate's culinary director, builds the French menu around fish. A recent set menu offers three fish courses and one vegetarian course, and dry-aged beef is available from the à la carte. The restaurant also runs a set lunch menu and caters to vegetarian guests.
The Schlemmer Atlas gives Rodesand three Kochlöffel for 2026 and singles out Rossini beef tenderloin, red shrimp and lobster. Other dishes on recent menus include salmon from the Isle of Mull served with buckwheat and smoked cream cheese, and North Sea mackerel, smoked and served with celery and horseradish. The vegetarian course is porcini agnolotti with braised leek and hazelnut foam.
The dining room keeps the bones of the estate's villa, with dark tones, colourful accents, upholstered armchairs and plenty of flowers. The wine list leans toward European producers and includes many lesser-known bottles. The estate served as the filming location for the Immenhof films of the 1950s and 1970s, and that history still shapes the room.
