The story
Eiflers Zeiten is a seasonal Gasthaus at Burg Flamersheim, 53881 Euskirchen, and it appears among the Michelin Guide's recommended restaurants for 2026. Chef Oliver Röder runs the kitchen, with Eifel produce at the centre of the menu.
The dishes follow the region's older kitchen traditions. Lamb from Flamersheim's Pützhof arrives with braised tomatoes, and Eifel beef is served as roast beef with fried potatoes. The Landlust schnitzel and the Zwiebelrostbraten stay on as house classics. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded 3.5 Kochlöffel in 2026, praising hearty yet creative plates such as roast beef and wild hare ravioli with savoy cabbage.
Since 2025, the fine-dining concept of Bembergs Häuschen has been served here as well. The four-course menu (98.90 euros) moves from hamachi ceviche and a hand-dived scallop to a selection of Eifel beef, then ends on banana, peanut and caramel. The Herrengedeck looks like cognac and a cigar. It is actually oxtail soup in a snifter, with a pastry roll of oxtail and apple ash alongside. Katharina Röder, sommelière and host, looks after the wine side.
The room has rough wooden beams, old brick and two large chandeliers made from bottles. Families are welcome, and there is a children's menu. On Wednesdays, the "Ménage à trois" for two or more costs 49 euros per person. It begins with a glass of Landlust sparkling wine and continues with a tiered stand of three starters, a main course and a second stand of three desserts.
