The story
Gasthaus Goldener Stern at Dorfstraße 1 in Eurasburg serves country cooking with a modern streak, and the Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand in 2026. Lunch is a traditional Gasthaus affair. In the evening the kitchen turns to casual fine dining.
Stefan Fuß runs the house as the third generation of his family, after training at Herzog Ludwig in Friedberg. Local farmers supply the vegetables, and the kitchen makes its own spätzle and noodles. Freshwater fish comes from Kissing, pork from Baindlkirch, and game from his father-in-law's own hunt.
Fuß says he wants a guest to be as happy with Schweinbraten and dumpling as with lamb cannelloni and saddle on aubergine barley. The Schlemmer Atlas gave the kitchen 3 Kochlöffel in 2026 for creative, carefully prepared natural cuisine. Every first Wednesday of an odd-numbered month, a six-course gourmet menu with aperitif costs 110 euros. The exact courses are settled on the day, depending on what nature provides.
The Eichen Loft opened in June 2022 as an event space, and the family also caters. Outside opening hours, a machine in the car park sells potato dumplings, Böfflamot and crispy salt to take home.
