The story
Restaurant „Andre“ is a Mediterranean restaurant inside Schloss Hotel Wolfsbrunnen, at Am Berg 1 in Meinhard, close to Eschwege. The Schlemmer Atlas gave it 2 Kochlöffel in 2026.
Küchendirektor Stefan Bühler leads the team. The menu pairs classic Hessian dishes from local suppliers with a more refined international kitchen. Wines are national and international, chosen to go with the food.
The castle stands in the woods near the Werratalsee. The old study, now the library, works as a cocktail bar and opens straight off the main hall. It has a fireplace, and a separate smokers' lounge serves cigars. The large outdoor terrace looks over the lake, Meinhard and Eschwege.
