The story
Dutters Stube serves Badische cooking at Winterstraße 28 in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl, in the village of Kiechlinsbergen, and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026. Arthur and Franziska Dutter have been the hosts here for 40 years.
The timber-framed building dates from 1589 and stands directly beside the village church. The Schlemmer Atlas rates it 2,5 Kochlöffel (2026). The Stubenrestaurant, with its summer arbor, calls its style Badisch, light and elegant. It offers a four-course Stubenmenü and a supplementary à la carte choice.
Special menus come and go in the Stube. On six evenings in March 2026, Arthur Dutter cooked a lobster menu at 98 € per person. It began with lobster terrine and smoked salmon mousse, then a ragout of curry noodles, lobster claw and green asparagus. Grilled lobster tail with a potato-Parmesan cake followed.
Downstairs, the Dorfwirtschaft keeps to hearty country cooking: oven-fresh Flammkuchen, schnitzel with fries, and Bibeliskäs with Brägele. Rotating offers fill out the card, among them a Thursday schnitzel, a steak of the month and mussel weeks.
