The story
Reef and Beef Düsseldorf is a steakhouse at Lennéstr. 29 in Düsseldorf, and Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2 Kochlöffel in 2026. The kitchen pairs premium beef with fish from the world's oceans, and the restaurant presents both sides of the menu with equal weight.
The beef is Nebraska beef, which the restaurant calls the "gold of the Midwest." The cattle are Angus and Hereford, raised slowly, fed on pasture, grain and corn, and kept free of hormones, according to the house. On the seafood side, the menu names King Salmon and halibut, and the site describes halibut's white flesh as a delicacy.
Candlelight is the main light in the dining room. The gallery describes stylish furnishings, warm lighting and a mix of rustic charm and modern flair. The Basam Group, which runs the house, says its restaurants have held a leading place in Düsseldorf's dining scene since 2008. Groups of up to 140 guests can be seated for company events or private dinners, and every location offers a parking service.
Schlemmer Atlas singled out the tiered platter of lobster, langoustines and imperial caviar served on ice. The cellar covers wines, cocktails and spirits, and the menu lists a separate dessert wine section for the end of the meal.
