The story
Lido Hafen, at Am Handelshafen 15 in Düsseldorf's Medienhafen, serves French-inspired fine dining and holds a Michelin Recommended listing for 2026. Chef Benjamin Kriegel cooks here, and his wife Ramona looks after the wine.
Guests choose between four and seven courses. Kriegel sets select gourmet ingredients beside elements of traditional home cooking, and the seasonal menu changes regularly. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded 3.5 Kochlöffel in 2026. The four-course menu costs 122 €, the seven-course 179 €.
Rollmops arrives as monkfish with cabbage, sour cream, leek and borscht stock. Pikeperch comes with kale, potato and veal aspic. The duck breast is paired with salt-baked celery, hazelnut and orange hollandaise. Dessert includes "Heimat" (sugar beet, pear, Altbier, sourdough), and the meal closes with an ice cream cup named for Lido 1960.
The dining room is a transparent glass cube reached over a bridge, so tables feel close to the harbor water. Furnishings are minimalist, and the restaurant spreads over two floors. The large terrace is the spot the Schlemmer Atlas singles out for the view. Ramona Kriegel's list leans on European producers, with pairings from the Loire, Jura and Rhône starting at 56 € for four courses.
