The story
Da Mario's Little Italy, at Rheinstr. 32 in Darmstadt, serves Italian-American cooking in a New York style restaurant, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2 Kochlöffel in 2026. The kitchen is an Italian and fusion kitchen that sits inside a theatrical setting.
The 800 square metre space is built as a 1950s Little Italy film set. It has its own stage, a professional sound system and full air conditioning. Areas can be separated for up to 199 guests, so the room suits both couples and larger groups.
The legendary Campari bar serves cocktails and long drinks, and the display cases hold desserts and wine. Live music and shows run in the evening, so a meal here often turns into a long night. The venue also hosts weddings, birthdays, corporate events and gala dinners with integrated catering.
