The story
OWLs Bar & Restaurant in Bielefeld, at Arndtstr. 45, pairs a World Cuisine kitchen with a listening bar, and it holds 3 Kochlöffel in the Schlemmer Atlas (2026).
The kitchen draws on international street food, and many dishes can be made vegan. The OWLs Pitta Teller comes unrolled on a plate, with house sauce, fresh salad and a choice of chicken, meatballs or falafel. Muhammara, a dip of roasted walnuts and peppers, is marked vegan and served with bread.
The listening room is furnished like a living room, with armchairs, sofas and rugs, and its sound system uses KV2 Audio speakers. Groups of up to four fit the room, while the restaurant takes parties of 2 to 8. The drinks list includes spritz variations at 8.50 euros and signature cocktails such as the Sloe Jam, made with Hayman's Sloe Gin.
