The story
Restaurant Englers, at Englerallee 42 in Berlin, runs a French and Mediterranean kitchen and holds 2 Kochlöffel from the Schlemmer Atlas for 2026.
The Schlemmer Atlas places the restaurant across from the botanical garden. It describes a spacious room with tables in pure white tablecloths. Its examples of the cooking are boiled veal and chicken in red wine sauce, the kind of French-leaning classics that suit that setting. A set lunch menu is also on offer.
The house calls itself a Kaffeehaus and restaurant, with cakes baked in-house and a quick Flammkuchen to go with wine. The restaurant describes its own cooking as a mix of Swabian and Austrian classics. The menu changes with the season and with what is available. Private celebrations and company dinners are also hosted.
