The story
MaMi's at Oderberger Straße 13 in Berlin is a modern bistro with an international outlook, and it earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking. Marcel cooks and his sister Miriam looks after wine and the room.
The name joins their first names: (Ma)rcel and (Mi)riam. Marcel works the stove, while Miriam is sommelière and host. Their fusion kitchen draws on years in international fine dining and on Marcel's travels. The Schlemmer Atlas gave MaMi's two Kochlöffel in 2026, noting a style that is modern and unconventional.
Much is made in house, from soy sauce and seitan to mayonnaise. The sharing menu, called "Tischlein deck dich", runs to eight courses at €74.50 or ten at €84.50 per person. The à la carte side includes pumpkin with parsley and preserved lemon, red prawn with soy, lovage and brown butter, and a potato pancake with beetroot, jalapeño and horseradish. Many plates can be made vegetarian, and the "Faux-Gras" is a vegan take on foie gras served with waffle and Madeira.
Food and wine pairing is the idea the whole place is built around, and Miriam's list is individual rather than predictable. Dessert might be cheesecake cream with almond, physalis and saffron caramel, or white chocolate with sesame and plum. The restaurant also has outdoor seating.
