The story
KINK Bar & Restaurant at Schönhauser Allee 176 in Berlin cooks modern cuisine over open fire, and the Michelin Guide listed it as Recommended in 2026.
The kitchen works with real flame, and the team calls its plates accessible, playful and sometimes cheeky. The cooking runs from crisp vegan dishes to tender fire-cooked meat, with international influences throughout. On Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 15, the same kitchen turns to brunch. The bar prefers rethought classics to passing trends, on the principle that basics come before experiments.
The room dates to 1841 and keeps its high ceilings and French window doors. Above them hangs Space Knot, a light installation by Kerim Seiler. Guests sit downstairs by the bar, upstairs in the gallery, in the glass-enclosed private room, or in the garden under old trees. Schlemmer Atlas awarded 2 Kochlöffel in 2026.
