The story
Beef 45 is a steakhouse inside the Hotel Palace at Budapester Str. 45 in Berlin, and in 2026 the Schlemmer Atlas gave it 2 Kochlöffel. The restaurant opened in 2018 and sits in the City West, across from the Zoologischer Garten.
Meat is the focus here, and the name says so. Cuts come from regional suppliers as well as Argentina and New Zealand, and the Schlemmer Atlas singles out Charolais, US flank steak from Black Angus and Simmental. The kitchen is European in outlook. Tender filet and richly flavoured beef cheeks appear alongside surprise cuts, and the team changes the offering regularly.
The dining room is modern and restrained, with 20 seats. That small number keeps the mood intimate, which suits a business dinner or a private celebration. The hotel setting gives it a club-like feel, as the guide describes it.
The Schlemmer Atlas praises the cocktails and gins as highly as the meat. Vegan alternatives are on the menu too, so a table of mixed appetites can be accommodated. The restaurant is also a partner of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, an international society of chefs, hoteliers and sommeliers.
