The story
aerde, at Am Lokdepot 6 in Berlin, is a small modern cuisine restaurant that holds a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026. The kitchen works with the flavors of the surrounding forests and fields, and the seasonal menu is made of smaller dishes meant for sharing.
Sourcing comes first here. The kitchen buys from local producers, farmers and hunters in the Berlin and Brandenburg region. Part of the produce is preserved and foraged in the restaurant itself or with partner producers, and fermentation plays a central role in how the dishes are built.
The menu changes constantly with the seasons, so what appears on the plate depends on what the region is producing at that moment.
The wine list leans toward natural and low-intervention bottles, alongside classic wines. The alcohol-free drinks are homemade, with a wide variety to choose from.
