The story
Eiden Restaurant at Eiden 9, 26160 Bad Zwischenahn serves international cooking and country cooking within the Romantik Hotel Jagdhaus Eiden am See. The restaurant holds a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, and its menu draws on fresh produce from the region.
Head chefs Tim Extra and Thomas Eilers lead the kitchen and their team. The brigade works with a high-tech approach, though the menu stays rooted in fresh ingredients. Seasonal regional specialties appear beside reinterpreted international classics. A smaller bistro menu offers a hearty bite to go with fresh draft beer.
The restaurant is spread across several distinct rooms. The Fischerstube, one of the hotel's gourmet islands, has a view outside and serves dishes such as Zwischenahner Brataal or zander from a rotating menu. The Jägerstube has been part of the house since the hunting lodge's earliest days. It was rebuilt after a fire in the early 1970s and renovated in 2013. The Fischerstübchen has been part of the restaurant since 2015.
Guests order à la carte, and the Schlemmer Atlas awards the kitchen 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026. The guide points to Gillardeau oysters, monkfish, and a juicy entrecôte as highlights. For an international kitchen with a regional anchor, the choice is wide.
