The story
Restaurant Olor is a modern restaurant at Hohnstr. 35 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 1.5 Kochlöffel in 2026. It is part of the Hotel Schwan & Post, so dinner can sit alongside an overnight stay.
The Schlemmer Atlas describes a stylish room with an immersive dining experience. The menu it points to includes Wiener Schnitzel and beef backstrap, two dishes that suggest a kitchen working with familiar ingredients. Cocktails are part of the offer too. For those who want to sit close to the cooking, there is a Chef's Table.
The building began in 1749 as the Gasthaus zum goldenen Schwan, right beside Bad Neustadt's heart-shaped town wall. A baroque wing from 1772 still stands. In 2019 a brass-fronted new building was added next to it, with a modern gastronomy area and a rooftop terrace. The hotel bar has access to that terrace.
