The story

Au Pont Corbeau Strasbourg: Alsatian Winstub Cooking and Michelin Bib Gourmand 2026

Au Pont Corbeau, at 21 quai Saint-Nicolas in Strasbourg, is an Alsatian winstub and bistro that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for its good quality, good value cooking. The restaurant is run by a family and has served Alsatian dishes in the same spirit for more than 30 years.

Cooking and produce

Coralie leads the kitchen with traditional Alsatian dishes that have a lighter, younger touch. The restaurant works with a network of local producers, and the house plate of hot corbeau pairs a smoked, cumin-spiced sausage with sauerkraut. Pork shank comes with mixed greens in a mustardy vinaigrette, and the Alsatian cherry tart finishes the meal. A lunch menu is offered at €13.50.

The room and the wine list

The dining room keeps its Renaissance woodwork and old posters, and the windows are made from wine bottles. Christophe's wine collection is the reason many guests come back, with over 13,000 bottles, mostly natural wines. Le Fooding listed the restaurant in 2026, noting a young crowd drawn in by the cellar. Local Alsatian names such as Trimbach and Maurer sit alongside rarer finds from further afield.

After kilometers of gingham tablecloths, liters of beer and German tourists by the dozen, the folkloric charm of Alsatian winstubs gets old quick… Unless you head over to the Andt’s place (cheeky drawings, Renaissance woodwork, modern chairs). Run by a father-daughter duo, the windows are made out of wine bottles and obscure a cool, young crowd who are lured in by Christophe’s extensive natural collection (over 13,000 bottles!) and the traditional but youthful cuisine from Coralie. The proof the night we went, with a “hot corbeau” which beautifully combined a smoked cumin-spiced sausage with sauerkraut (€17.50); pork shank served with mixed greens in a mustardy vinaigrette (€9.50); and a creamy Alsatian cherry tart (€5.70). So dig into the wine collection with thirteen thousand wonders: a rare Oeillade from Navarre, a VDF Saint-Chinian (€6.20 for a quarter liter), a Chablis from De Moor (€34 a bottle) and all the local lords – Muscat from Maurer (€5.30 a glass), Pinot noir from Trimbach (€35 a bottle), etc. Menu €13.50 (lunch), à la carte €25-50. // R.deC.
