The story
L'Auberge de Saint-Rémy, at 12 boulevard Mirabeau in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, is a modern cuisine restaurant that holds two Michelin stars (2026) for excellent cooking. Chef-owners Fanny Rey and Jonathan Wahid run the kitchen in the heart of the Alpilles.
Fanny Rey and Jonathan Wahid met at the Ritz in Paris, she on the savoury line and he in pastry, with their stations side by side. After eight years there they joined the Oustau de Baumanière, and in July 2012 they opened their own house. The first Michelin star came in 2017 and the second in 2025, the year Fanny received the Légion d'honneur.
The restaurant occupies a contemporary stone building within a listed historic monument, set back from the village bustle. The property also includes a 10-room guesthouse and the Mas de Garance villa. The Smart Green Guide awarded it 4 Radishes in 2026. Pets are welcome on the terrace but not in the gastronomic dining room, and the kitchen offers a private room and wine pairing.
