The story
Les Trois Soleils de Montal serves modern cuisine at 687 route de Montal in Saint-Céré. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Star in 2026 for high quality cooking.
The website shows two sample menus. The "Idées du jour" pairs Tauriac asparagus with a trompe l'oeil poached egg, followed by Challans duck fillet with olive juice and spring vegetables. It ends with a small basket of red fruits and oregano sorbet. The longer "Saveurs" menu opens with Chioggia beetroot and crab, then moves to pollock with lovage curry and slow-cooked Bigorre black pork. Matured cheeses and a chocolate-caramel dessert close it.
The restaurant is part of a hotel, and the rooms are air-conditioned, most with a private terrace or balcony. Two suites on the third level have panoramic terraces with deckchairs. Outdoor seating, parking and a private room are also listed, and the site notes wheelchair access.
