The story
Toya, a modern French kitchen at Avenue Jean-Monnet in Faulquemont (57380), holds one Michelin star for high quality cooking (2026). The restaurant is listed under Saint-Avold and serves lunch and dinner.
Chef Loïc Villemin builds his dishes around what his producers supply, so the plate changes with the seasons. Vegetables, herbs and garden produce take a large share of the menu, and he chooses seafood with particular care. Japanese touches appear here and there, a nod to the precision and freshness he associates with Japan.
Menus change every week. Guests choose how many courses they want, then leave the rest to the chef.
The restaurant opened in June 2010 and was fully renovated in 2017 under the direction of Villemin's brother Sacha, an architect. The dining room is spacious, with clean lines, natural materials and plenty of daylight. It sits on a hill overlooking the Faulquemont golf course.
