The story
Fezi, at 42 avenue du Sergent-Maginot in Rennes, is a modern bistro that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good-quality, good-value cooking. The kitchen runs on seasonal produce, and the menu changes with the city's markets.
Chef Cédric Bruneau leads the kitchen, and most of the menu is made in-house. The restaurant names its producers openly, from market growers and fishers to farmers and cheesemakers across Brittany. Le Fooding noted a lunch of fresh panzanella with heirloom tomatoes, basil and lemon, a squid ink hake tempura with crisp braised leeks, and a pavlova with summer berries and strawberry sorbet.
The dining room is bright, with white walls, bistro furniture and handmade ceramic tableware. The drinks list leans toward natural and terroir wines, alongside artisan soft drinks and craft or wild beers. Set menus are priced at 25 euros for starter, main and dessert, and at 45 or 65 euros for four or six courses. Dietary needs and allergies can be adapted when you book.
