The story
Aux bons vivres is a village bistro at 13 Pl. du Bourg in Yèvre-la-Ville (Pithiviers), listed by Le Fooding in 2026. The kitchen is plant-forward and tied closely to a farm a few miles away.
Photojournalist Anne-Claire Héraud spent years photographing activist farmers and inspired chefs across the French countryside. Now she cooks here, with produce from her partner Simon at the Les Trois Parcelles farm. The menu changes every week and follows what is fresh, seasonal and local.
A recent lunch brought a smoked eggplant dip and tomatoes dressed in fig leaf oil. Then came a crisp pizzetta with farm cream, yellow zucchini ribbons, bleu d'Auvergne and toasted buckwheat. An almond fondant with raspberry and verbena coulis closed the meal. Sunday brunch runs to labneh, marinated peppers, fried eggs and rhubarb cake.
An old fireplace, wicker chairs and bouquets of fresh flowers set the tone indoors, and the terrace catches the sun. The place began in summer 2022 as a community-run association, with a small cellar and grocery corner and a programme of cultural events. A three-course menu starts at €28, with a solidarity price 25% lower, and children under 10 get their own menu at €12.
