The story
Pétrelle is a small bistro at 34 rue Pétrelle in Paris, cooking modern cuisine under chef Lucie Boursier-Mougenot. The Michelin Guide listed it as Recommended in 2026.
For thirty years the bistro belonged to Jean-Luc André. It now belongs to two former Les Caves Legrand colleagues: Boursier-Mougenot in the kitchen and sommelier Luca Danti in the dining room. Le Fooding also listed Pétrelle in 2026 and praised the lunch it ate there, along with the warmth of the staff.
The lunch menu runs from two courses at 34€ to four at 49€. Recent plates include gnocchi with Parmesan cream, artichokes and almond praline, and veal tartare with smoked herring cream. Dinner is a four-course menu at 75€. It might begin with ajo blanco and cherries, then move to line-caught red tuna belly with aubergine salad, raspberries and green peppercorn sauce. Fraises Dream, with sorrel sorbet and verbena in the evening version, closes the meal.
Trompe-l'oeil walls, silver chandeliers, antique guéridon tables and porcelain vases give the room a slightly theatrical, old Paris feel. The number of tables is limited, so booking ahead is sensible.
