The story
Elmer, at 30 rue Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth in Paris's 3rd arrondissement, is a Modern Cuisine restaurant that earned a Michelin Recommended mention in 2026.
Chef Simon Horwitz builds the menu around cooking over wood fire and on the rotisserie. Whole cuts of meat and fish turn on the spit, and the fire leaves a smoky edge on each plate. The kitchen buys from small French producers, many organic or eco-responsible, chosen for how well they suit slow roasting. The We're Smart Green Guide gave the restaurant 2 Radishes in 2026.
Sommelier Sebastien Perrot selects the wine list, favouring sharp bottles that keen collectors make the trip for. The Chef's Table sits in a more intimate room in front of the wine cellar and seats 8 to 16 guests. Groups can taste a custom menu composed by the chef and his team, from 75 euros per person, drinks not included.
