The story
Comice is a modern cuisine restaurant at 31 avenue de Versailles in Paris's 16th arrondissement, holding one Michelin star for 2026 for its high quality cooking. Canadian couple Noam Gedalof, the chef, and Etheliya Hananova, the sommelier, run the room together.
Noam Gedalof, formerly of Astrance, cooks product-driven contemporary French food that changes with the season. Etheliya Hananova, ex-Sergent Recruteur, looks after guests and a wine list focused on grower-producers.
A recent five-course menu opened with a gougère in Mornay sauce and moved through line-caught bass carpaccio, golden gnocchi with black trumpet mushrooms, and lamb cooked three ways. Dessert was a white peach sorbet with Champagne mousse, then a chocolate soufflé. Sylvie Coquet porcelain and starched white tablecloths set a classic table.
