The story
Caffè Stern in Paris serves Italian cooking at 47 Passage des Panoramas, inside one of the city's historic covered arcades. Gambero Rosso awarded it 2 forks in 2025, and the restaurant is part of the Alajmo group.
Alessandro Fornaro leads the kitchen and interprets the Alajmo philosophy with a personal, contemporary hand. The menu changes with the seasons and follows the structure of an Italian trattoria, with a short run of antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci. The wine list is mostly Italian, pairing small producers with better-known names.
Signature dishes include potato cappuccino with bolognese ragù, dill tagliolini with lobster, and Venetian-style veal liver with fried yellow polenta. Pistachio gelato closes the meal. The restaurant sits in Passage des Panoramas, the oldest of Paris's seventeen arcades to survive Haussmann's renovation of the mid-1800s.
