The story

AT Paris: Franco-Japanese Tasting Menu by Chef Atsushi Tanaka, Michelin One Star

AT is a Franco-Japanese restaurant at 4bis rue du Cardinal-Lemoine in Paris, where chef Atsushi Tanaka earned a Michelin star in 2026. The dining room sits in the Latin Quarter.

One seasonal tasting menu

Tanaka serves a single tasting menu that changes with the seasons. The concept of each dish stays fixed, while the ingredients follow what the market offers. The structure stays recognisable from one visit to the next, and the produce does not. Courses listed on the menu include beetroot with parsnip and bergamot, sashimi of sea bass with daikon, and venison from Picardie with pine pesto and black lemon. The We're Smart Green Guide awarded the restaurant four radishes in 2026.

The room and the tableware

The room was renovated by the Paris architecture workshop OVO, and the wooden furniture was designed and made by the Norwegian duo Sarg&Bein, giving the space a Nordic feel. The plates and bowls are a central part of the meal. They were made in collaboration with ceramists, designers and artists, including Ann Sofie Gelfius, Gurli Elbaekgaard and Sinikka Harms.
