The story
Auberge des Templiers sits at 20 route Départementale 2007 in Boismorand, near Nogent-sur-Vernisson in Loiret, and its restaurant serves modern cuisine built on local produce. The Michelin Guide awarded it one star in 2026, and the kitchen works as a Relais & Châteaux country inn just outside Paris.
The chef builds contemporary dishes around Loire Valley produce and seasonal ingredients, with a few surprises on each plate. The Smart Green Guide gave the restaurant four radishes in 2026. The cellar holds about 650 references, including bottles from vintages more than a century old. Chef Sommelier Laurent Rigollet offers a glass-by-glass selection and tailors a pairing route to each guest's tastes.
The inn has 20 rooms and suites set in a six-hectare park with century-old oaks and rhododendron alleys. Accommodation ranges from cottage and thatched-cottage rooms to manor-house suites. In summer, guests use the pool and a seasonal terrace restaurant that changes its culinary theme each year. In winter, the bar's fireplace and English-style armchairs make a quiet place to settle in after a walk in the forest.
