The story
Le Restaurant des Rois, the gourmet restaurant of La Réserve de Beaulieu, serves Mediterranean and modern cuisine at 5 boulevard du Maréchal-Leclerc, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, in the Nice area. The Michelin Guide awarded it one star in 2026, and it is the hotel's principal dining room.
Starred chef Julien Roucheteau leads the kitchen. The hotel describes his cooking as a grand, carefully staged expression of high-end Riviera cuisine. Recent guests single out the tasting menu as exceptional, and one reviewer mentions that the chef visited the table at the end of the meal.
The restaurant sits inside the hotel on the Mediterranean shore. La Réserve opened as a restaurant named La Réserve in 1880, when it served seafood from local fishermen. The Delion Family has directed the property since 1997.
The Gordon Bennett Bar opens from the back room of the gourmet restaurant. In warm weather, its doors open onto a landscaped patio. The bar is named after the journalist and motorsports patron Gordon Bennett, a regular figure in the hotel's history, and it suits cocktails and spirits taken slowly.
