The story
Le Manoir de la Régate sits at 155 route de Gachet in Nantes, on the banks of the Erdre, and serves a contemporary kitchen that earned one Michelin star for 2026. Chef Mathieu Pérou runs the modern cuisine here, drawing on produce from the surrounding land and water.
Mathieu Pérou took over the kitchen in 2017 from his father, Loïc, who had led the house for more than 20 years. Two professional fishermen work at the foot of the restaurant and supply pike-perch, pike, bream, wels catfish, carp and grey mullet, prepared using the ikejime method. A permaculture kitchen garden lies 50 metres away.
The sommelier, Théo Tournade, pours more than 40 local bottles from a list of over 350 references. The menus are served for the whole table, with lunch and dinner options on set days. The Green Guide awarded the house four radishes for 2026.
