The story
Le Jardin de Berne in Draguignan is a modern cuisine restaurant at the Château de Berne, chemin des Imberts, Flayosc, 83780, France. It holds one Michelin star (2026) for high quality cooking.
Chef Louis Rameau arrived in the Berne kitchens in April 2016 and took over their direction in early 2020. His plates start with the estate's vegetable gardens, where produce is picked each day and given little more than heat and seasoning. One day a saffron pistil from the Haut-Var may join the plate, the next a vinegar from Piedmont.
Pastry chef Eric Raynal leads the desserts across the estate's restaurants, using citrus grown on the property such as combava and citron caviar. He was named a laureate of the Michelin "Passion Dessert" selection in 2020. The 150-hectare vineyard has been organic-labelled since February 2021, and the tasting menu can be paired with the estate's wines.
